Behind the Brand: KunstbyStephie

KunstbyStephie is a Berlin-based art brand creating bold, typographic wall art with a twist of nostalgia, food, and travel. Founded and run by independent artist Stephie Cardona, the studio blends playful language with considered design - transforming everyday objects, moments, and meals into modern art prints with soul.

Every piece begins with a sketch, often sparked by an unassuming memory. A glass of Pastis ordered outside of the cafe in Le Marais. A shot of Ouzo shared with the Taverna owner in Rhodes. A bowl of noodles on a red plastic table in Hanoi. These fragments become prints that feel both personal and universal, simplistic yet full of life.

A bit about me - I was born and raised in the US. After high school, I decided move across the pond to study Fashion Buying and Merchandising at London College of Fashion in the UK. There, I started working in visual merchandising which opened my eyes to the big bad world of interior design. Little did I know this would gradually consume the bigger half of my life.

Post-university, I embarked on a series of international moves and ventured into furniture buying, which ignited my creative spirit even further. Through travel and the exploration of countries and cultures and the foods, drinks and sayings that come with them, I have been able to fuel my inspiration for prints. I've always loved turning my thoughts, words and experiences into illustrations, and I am so excited to see them come to life in your homes!
